Amelia Park announces return of free Musical Moments concert seriesDate: 5/29/2014 WESTFIELD – Amelia Park Arena & Garden is proud to host their Annual Musical Moments free concert series starting June 3 at 6:30 p.m. in Amelia’s Garden, 21 South Broad St.
The concert series, in its 13th year, takes place in Amelia’s Garden, a 1.3 acre memorial garden built in memory of the late philanthropist, Amelia Ferst. Ferst and her husband, Albert, dedicated their retirement to giving back to their community, by supporting Amelia Park Ice Arena & Garden, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield, Amelia Park Children’s Museum, Interfaith Center at Westfield State University, amongst others.
Concessions are available outside the garden to benefit local sled hockey programs. A bike raffle will be held throughout the summer with proceeds to benefit the 17th Annual New England Invitational Sled Hockey Tournament, which takes place annually at the arena. The concerts are held rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held inside the arena area.
The schedule is as follows: CO2 on June 3 at 6:30 p.m.; Pioneer Valley Fiddlers on June 10 at 6:30 p.m.; Diversion on June 17 at 6:30 p.m.; Duane Carlson Music on June 24 at 6:30 p.m.; Pitoniak Brothers on July 8 at 6:30 p.m.; Agawam Melody Band on July 15 at 6:30 p.m.; Ritchie Mitnick & Sound of Music Singers on July 22 at 6:30 p.m.; Fran Liptak & Friends on July 29 at 6:30 p.m.; Dan Kane & Friends on Aug. 5 at 6:30 p.m.; Russell Mountain Boys on Aug. 12 at 6:30 p.m.; Charlie Galvin Band on Aug. 19 at 6 p.m.; and Cory & the Knightsmen Band on Aug. 26 at 6 p.m.
