Date: 4/14/2009

SPRINGFIELD The timeless lyrics and harmony of Simon and Garfunkel and Harry Chapin will fill CityStage Theater with hits like "Cecilia," "Mrs. Robinson," "Cats in the Cradle," "Taxi" and many more.

The event, titled "SatinWood & Aztec Two Step in Concert," is part of the Legendary Song Series and will take place April 25 at 8 p.m. at CityStage in downtown Springfield. The proceeds for the special concert will benefit the Partners for Community (PfC) Scholarship Fund.

Aztec Two-Step is one of acoustic music's most respected and enduring acts. Rex Fowler and Neal Shulman will perform the Simon and Garfunkel Songbook Show featuring hits like "The Boxer," "Scarborough Fair" and "A Hazy Shade of Winter." SatinWood, a popular six-piece regional folk rock band, appears with a rocking tribute to Harry Chapin with original Chapin drummer Howard Fields.

NUVO Bank & Trust Company, Springfield's only locally owned, state chartered, community bank is supporting the Legendary Songs Series benefit to help raise funds for the PfC and to assist in bringing people to the downtown area.

"NUVO Bank is all about supporting our downtown and the arts," Jeffery S. Sattler, president of NUVO Bank, said. "We are not only benefiting a great scholarship fund with this special evening, but reinforcing the fact that there is a lot to do in downtown Springfield and it really is a safe place to find quality entertainment."

NUVO Bank is presenting a special corporate sponsorship opportunity. For $250, any business can purchase a corporate package for the evening which will consist of four concert tickets, a business card sized advertisement in the event's program, meet and greet with the band members and a special pre-concert cocktail hour, with introductions, at NUVO Bank headquarters at 1500 Main St. in downtown Springfield.
