| We at the Cruise Store feel for you this week. The fact that you are reading this article means that you are not on vacation. Sure next week friends, colleagues, and perhaps some family will be bragging about their new tans when they get back from their school break vacation. Ok, we have something that may, just may mind you, take a little of the sting from their gloating. Some of you may be saying, "Carnival, aren't those the party ships?" Check out this fact- the average age on a Carnival cruise is 47. This past November we went on the brand new Carnival Freedom for a 4 night cruise out of Miami and were quite impressed. The food was great. World-renowned French master chef Georges Blanc has become the signature chef for Carnival Cruise Lines. Porthole Magazine readers awarded Carnival with the Best Main Dining room Cuisine. No argument from us. We particularly like this class of ship that in the industry is called the "Conquest Class". Carnival has a number of ship classes; some better than others in our humble opinion, but the Conquest class is Carnival's best. The ships are huge- 110,000 GN Tons. These ships are about the length of three football fields, yet so easy to navigate that you could be hired to run ship tours in no time. They have the largest casinos, best piano bars, great comedy acts (even adult content at midnight), huge cigar bar, WiFi and cell phone access even while at sea (for a cost), and a supper club that reminds us of Ruth's Cris or a Morton steakhouse. We are going on a different Conquest class ship in the near future and we can't wait! You shouldn't either.
