Mediums at Large to conduct readings at Abundant Wellness CenterDate: 6/5/2015 “Synchrodestiny.”
For three area women, they believe “synchrodestiny” brought them together to share spiritual encouragement and healing to those who seek messages from loved ones who have passed.
Gina Barry of Holyoke, Kim Watts of Florence, and Kathi Munson of Tolland, CT, are known as Mediums at Large, and throughout the year conduct gallery style mediumship readings titled An Evening of Messages at the Abundant Wellness Center, 94 Chicopee St., Chicopee, as well as at locations across the region.
During a recent early evening interview at the Abundant Wellness Center, the women shared their love of the divine and how they hope to inspire others that there is a continuation of life after the soul leaves the physical body.
“We believe there are coincidences in life but there are what we call synchronized destinies,” Munson said. “Our individual journeys led us together serendipitously in a very special way.”
“We are soul sisters,” Watts added, noting that during events they tend to speak at the same time with the same information.
Barry echoed those sentiments.
“We work collaboratively with each other and with loved ones in spirit who wish to communicate,” she said. “We have an amazing level of respect and love between us.”
The women have trained together with national and international mediums and both Barry and Munson have attended the Arthur Findlay College in Stansted, England.
“We have solidified our bond during spiritual journeys here and abroad,” Munson added.
The women stressed that their gatherings are not “séances.”
During a program the lights remain on and a prayer begins each session. Each medium has a team of helpers and guides, so gratitude is extended to them for their assistance.
“The purpose of the program is to give spiritual encouragement and healing,” Watts said.
Munson noted that someone may be openly skeptical, however, it is important to keep an open mind and be respectful of the mediums and others attending.
“We work for the greater good,” Munson said. “We come from a place of love and expect that messages from spirit will be positive, healing, and uplifting.”
The women noted that thoughts and feelings can influence the energy around the participants since the spiritual team of helpers and those who have crossed over use all of the energy in the room to communicate.
“Extending love to the mediums, your loved ones in spirit, and those receiving readings is very helpful,” Barry said. “It is a group process.”
The women added that their “evidential messages” are important since it is essential to give as many details about a person as possible so that a loved one can make a connection.
“We dig deeper with spirit so that details can be understood,” said Munson. “When we connect with a communicator (loved one) who has passed on we bring messages of fond memories and evidence, and bring them back to life by painting a picture of who they were and what their life is like now.”
“Anyone who has been connected to you by blood, even if you never met them, or anyone you have known, may enter this gallery,” added Barry. “We have no control over who will come to speak to you.”
Munson is also particularly in tune with animals that have crossed over.
“Pets often communicate to let us know that they are at peace and often talk about how grateful they are and tell us they will be reunited with us one day,” Munson said. “Sometimes an animal will come through first, followed by a loved one.”
Throughout the interview all women agreed they feel “blessed” to have this gift and look forward to hitting the road to share their insights of life on the other side.
“We feel blessed to serve and do what we do to help others,” Barry said. “Messages can be profound in changing a person’s life.”
Watts concurred.
“We’re very honest and forthcoming with messages,” she said. “We give people the tools to see the signs.”
Munson added, “We are very blessed to have been chosen by the Divine, God, and Source to work together as a team,”
The women have several gatherings planned in the coming months, including: Spirit Messages Summer Soiree, June 7, 7 to 9 p.m., Courtyard Marriott, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; An Evening of Messages, June 27, 7 to 9 p.m., at the Abundant Wellness Center, Chicopee; Health, Wealth, and Home, Aug. 1, 6 to 8 p.m., Clarion Inn/Bradley East Windsor, East Windsor, CT; Hand in Hand for Lyme Disease, Aug. 8, 5:30 to 9 p.m., dinner and gallery readings at the Bluebonnet Diner, 324 King St., Northampton, and An Evening of Messages, Oct. 17, 7 to 9 p.m. at the Abundant Wellness Center, Chicopee.
