LUDLOW- During Lupa Zoo’s opening day on April 18, state Sen. Eric Lesser and state Rep. Jacob Oliveira presented the Lupa family with $100,000 for American Disability Act accessibility improvements, general operations and expanded virtual opportunities. The funding was secured through the fiscal year 2022 budget and a legislative act for immediate COVID-19 recovery needs. Following the monetary award, Joan Lupa cut the ribbon for the zoo’s new sensory park.
