PosiGen donation to Ludlow CARES jumpstarts partnership

Date: 12/28/2022

LUDLOW – PosiGen Solar presented a $2,000 donation to Ludlow CARES Coalition to help them fund future events and programs as well as beginning a new community partnership.

PosiGen recently opened a branch in Ludlow in July and love to deal with community members according to one of its employees.

Their goal is to implement solar power for all. They want solar to be affordable and easy to access, especially for underserved communities.

PosiGen’s company is giving back to local communities by donating to charitable organizations.

“Our mission is to serve the underserved to embed ourselves in the community that we are a part of to try and remove that big industry of what a solar company can look like and show that we have a heart,” another PosiGen employee said.

Ludlow CARES President Laura Rooney said she is grateful to receive the donation and begin partnering with PosiGen.

“The donation is a large donation. We raise between $20,000 to $25,000 a year so this is a huge donation to us that has a huge impact,” Rooney said.

One of Ludlow CARES’ focuses is addressing the opioid crisis and other issues that put the children in the community at risk while also hosting positive events for the community to enjoy, according to Rooney.
This donation will go towards future events and programs put together for the community to assist with those problems.
