Vanished Valley to host second annual ERC5 Octoberfest

Date: 10/3/2023

LUDLOW – The ERC5 will be hosting its second annual Octoberfest event at Vanished Valley Brewing Company on Oct. 12 from 5-8 p.m.

“It’s a great way to come by after work, connect with your colleagues, learn more about different businesses that maybe people may not have made connections with and a great way to bring people together,” ERC5 Executive Director Grace Barone said.

Vanished Valley Brewing is located at 782 Center St.

Tickets can be purchased at tinyurl.com/4uyhbtvk.

Tickets cost $20 for members and $25 for non-members.

Tickets may also be available at the door depending on the amount sold before the event.

Barone said the ticket includes samples of a few beer and food items that Vanished Valley will put out.

According to its website, the East of the River Five Town Chamber of Commerce “promotes an environment that fosters the economic growth of the towns of East Longmeadow, Hampden, Longmeadow, Ludlow and Wilbraham through the creation and expansion of businesses and jobs.”

Besides the beer and German eats that will be available, there will also be live music provided by Kiszmet and chair massages provided by EXCEL Therapy & Conditioning.

Barone added that this event was a success last year and she is excited to see it take place again.

She said, “We thought it would be a great way for the ERC5 to host an event in Ludlow, bringing together the community and it was well received. Our goal is to highlight the businesses in Ludlow but also ERC5 is made up of five communities, so we are delighted with the support that comes from the other communities as well.”

Vanished Valley co-founder and head brewer Josh Britton said, “Anything we can do to help our local chamber, the merrier and the better for us. It’s going to be a fun evening.”

Fall is a great time of year to enjoy the season themed food and drinks that restaurants may offer.
Barone said Vanished Valley is a venue that everyone should check out and that there is nothing better than enjoying a crisp fall day in Massachusetts.

Barone added, “Fall is just beautiful in New England, so it all came together very nicely. It’s a wonderful venue and if people haven’t been there this is a great reason to stop by. It was very lovely, and we are hoping to enjoy a nice fall day either outside or inside. I encourage everyone t come out, check out Vanished Valley, meet some new folks and grow and expand your network while enjoying your evening.”
