City Stage and Symphony Hall unveil upcoming performances

SPRINGFIELD – April is filled with a variety of exciting shows at City Stage & Symphony Hall.

The slate begins with “Love, Loss, and What I Wore.” With its compulsively entertaining subject matter, this intimate collection of stories by Nora and Delia Ephron is based on the best-seller by Ilene Beckerman as well as the recollections of the Ephrons’ friends.  

The show uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to. Special opening night “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”  event includes walking fashion show, light hors d’oeurves and dessert reception with the cast on April 9. Shows are April 9 to 11. Tickets are $39 and $34, with member prices of $34 and $30.

“Live From Nashville” comes to town April 17 at City Stage sponsored by Xfinity. This exciting performance is a song and dance spectacular. From the roots of country music with Jimmy Rogers and Patsy Cline to the country rockers like The Eagles, Brooks & Dunn and Garth Brooks, and including today’s hits from Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum, “Live from Nashville” delivers it all. Tickets are $39 and $34, and member price is $34 and $30.

In “Popovich Comedy Pet Theater,” pets become entertainers in a family-oriented blend of the unique comedy and juggling skills of Gregory Popovich, and the extraordinary talents of his performing pets.

Popovich and his Pets have been featured on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with David Letterman, and as a finalist on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” Popovich will perform a school vacation week matinee on April 22 at 2 p.m. at Symphony Hall, sponsored by Xfinity. Tickets are $25 and $20, and member prices are $21.55 and $17.30.

Don’t miss the return of Matt Lewis to CityStage. Over the past ten years, Matt Lewis, named “The Best Elvis in Vegas” by USA TODA, has headlined around the globe for the world-famous “Legends in Concert” show.  

There is no better talent than Matt Lewis to pay tribute to the great legacy of Elvis Presley. Shows are April 23 to 25 at City Stage.  Tickets are $39 and $34, and member price is $34 and $30.
