Young Professionals, SBID unveil plans for Springfield Restaurant Week

SPRINGFIELD – Get out your forks and knives because it is time to take a bite out of Springfield.

The Springfield City Council Young Professionals (YP) Subcommittee partnered with the Springfield Business Improvement District, are serving up mouth-watering meals during Springfield Restaurant Week 2015. The event will occur in the Metro Center from April 23 to May 2, 2015.

Don’t forget to bring your appetites because many of the Downtown and Riverfront restaurants are featured in this event. These include Chef Wayne’s Big Mamou, Currents (Marriot), Champions (Marriot), Luxe Burger Bar, Nadim’s Mediterranean, Panjabi Tadka, PICKS/MVP (Sheraton), Plan B Burger, The Fort/Student Prince, Theodore’s, Pizzeria Uno, Adolfo’s, McCaffrey’s Public House, Blackjack Steakhouse, and Shakago. Each restaurant will offer a special two or three course dinner menu for a set price of $20.15 per person.

Young Professionals are the future of Springfield and are critical to the long-term stability and economic development of this city.

 Springfield City Council Young Professionals Subcommittee Chair, City Councilor Justin Hurst, said, “Attracting and retaining young professionals to this great city has always been my priority, and Restaurant Week is a great start to bringing this vision to fruition. It is an opportunity for not only young professionals, but families, and the community at large to experience the unique spread the City has to offer.”
