'Reflections of India' taking place at Bay Path CollegeDate: 11/24/2008 LONGMEADOW Earlier this year, Bay Path College faculty and graduate students traveled to the Southern Indian city of Bangalore -- India's Silicon Valley -- and Mysore, an ancient cultural site, to study India's traditions, business practices and non-profit organizations. They will recount their experiences during "Reflections of India" on Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public and will take place on Bay Path's Longmeadow campus in the Breck Suite of Wright Hall.
James Wilson, PhD, assistant professor of business, and Thomas Schorle, PhD, associate professor of English and communications and coordinator of Bay Path's study abroad program, will host the event, which will include a presentation and discussion.
Sponsored by Kaleidoscope: Perspectives on Culture, Life and Learning, "Reflections of India" will feature an overview of Indian culture, the state of its emerging economy and photographs taken by students accompanied by their impressions of this paradoxical yet inspiring nation. The faculty and students will also reflect on challenges to India's future development and its meaning for the United States.
