SPRINGFIELD – On Oct. 2 and 3, the Student Prince is throwing what they promise to be “the wildest, most authentic Oktoberfest celebration in the area.”
Fort Street will be shut down to accommodate revelers as they imbibe draft beer, dance to live oom-pah music and dine on sausage, brats and other German favorites. The party will also spill into the bar and the Biergarten across the street.
“Many great traditions were revived when we re-opened The Fort last year,” Managing Partner Andy Yee said. “But the traditional German Oktoberfest may be the most exciting and fun. It’s a legendary party.”
Oktoberfest will take place Oct. 2, 5 to 10 p.m. and Oct. 3., 2 to 10 p.m. Admission is $10, which includes a commemorative cup and one free beer.
