Majestic presents jazz concert on Aug. 14Date: 8/6/2014 WEST SPRINGFIELD – World-class, internationally-renowned concert and jazz pianists, vocalists, flutist, violinist, Celtic harpist, trumpeter and premier tap dancer on Aug. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at The Majestic Theater will take the stage and dazzle the audience.
Outstanding pianist Larry Picard, vocalists tenor Matthew Jaquith, bass Carey Lape, baritone John Thomas, soprano Teri LaFleur, seventeen-year old violinist Emily Zheng, jazz pianists Carol Stefanik and Michael Condon, flutist Kimberly Figueroa, trumpeter Cicci Santucci and tap dancer David Bovat will perform well-known classical and Broadway selections as solos and duets.
The theme from The Godfather, Asturias, Some Enchanted Evening, Syrinx, If Ever I Would Leave You, Thankful, a special Pink Panther rendition, Sun Over San Sofia, I Got Rhythm, Slaughter on 10th Avenue, Round Midnight and extraordinary, exciting surprises are on tap for the audience, revealed Roberta Page who is serving as Mistress of Ceremonies and president of POP which is producing the show spectacular.
Pianists will perform on a Yamaha C 3 Conservatory Series six foot one Grand Piano from Falcetti Music which is partnering with Page One Productions for this special, second-ever type of performance at the Majestic Theater.
The grand piano from Falcetti adds to the spectacular production, Page said. It is unlike any other summer music show at The Majestic and last year was a sellout. There is an audience that has an appreciation for, and delights in, this kind of show with recognizable and memorable selections performed by second-to none talent, Page added.
