Youth Orchestra performs season premiere concert at Belchertown High School

SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Symphony Youth Orchestra begins its 66th season with its Premiere Concert at Belchertown High School on Nov. 15 at 3 p.m. Marsha Hassett and Jonathan Lam, the orchestra's conductors, will lead the Springfield Youth Sinfonia (SYS) and the Springfield Youth Orchestra (SYO).

The orchestras will be playing Schubert's "Rosamunde Overture," "March to the Scaffold" from Berlioz's Fantastic Symphony, "Nimrod" from Elgar's Enigma Variations, and the Shostakovich Symphony No. 5.

Tickets will be sold at the door and are $10 for adults and $5 for youth and seniors.
