Alliance of Black Professionals to celebrate formation on Dec. 8

Date: 12/6/2010

SPRINGFIELD — After months of local professionals voting on the official name of a new Western Massachusetts black professionals organization, the votes have been tallied, and this December, the Alliance of Black Professionals will become a functioning organization.

The inauguration celebration will take place on Dec. 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pazzo Ristorante, 1000 Hall of Fame Ave. Professionals can enjoy mingling, hors d'oeuvres, door prizes, a cash bar and an exclusive video presentation featuring black professionals in the city of Springfield.

Azell Cavaan, previously of The Republican and currently the communications director of the Springfield Public Schools, will host the evening as Master of Ceremonies.

The Alliance of Black Professionals is an exciting new opportunity to build relationships and business. The mission of the organization is to be a resource to black professionals in Western Massachusetts by providing professional development, net-working and community service opportunities.

The annual membership fee is $30 and includes free entrance to all networking events, discounts to workshops and seminars, inclusion in an exclusive members-only online business directory and more.

The first 100 members receive a free subscription to Black Enterprise Magazine. Membership information and sign ups will be available that evening.

This free event is sponsored by Pazzo Ristorante and Trade Press, Inc. Printing & Promotional Products. Registration for the celebration isn't required, but preferred. To RSVP for this event, please send an email to events@allianceofblackprofessionals.com or visit www.allianceofblackprofessionals.com.

While the objective of the Alliance of Black Professionals is to engage black professionals, all are welcome to participate.
