Business Assistance Center to sponsor tax workshop

Date: 12/1/2008

The Agawam Small Business Assistance Center will be hosting the second of its workshops of the 2008/2009 season on Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. at the Agawam Public Library on Cooper Street. This is part of a series of workshops offered throughout the year for small businesses, entrepreneurs and those thinking of starting a business.

The workshop will provide tax-planning strategies, and is a must for any small business owner. Elizabeth Melchiori, EA, who has over 30 years of experience in tax preparation, will conduct the workshop and give advice on reducing taxable income, utilizing available tax credits, and show how to avoid common tax-planning mistakes.

The session will also include a question and answer segment, so bring your questions and you'll get the answers from the expert.

Admission is free and open to residents from throughout the Pioneer Valley, but seating is limited so advance registration is necessary. Light refreshments will be served.
