WORKSHOP

How to Write a Business Plan and Manage Cash Flow workshop is scheduled Sept. 5 from 1-4 p.m. by SCORE at Andrew M. Scibelli Enterprise Center. Call 785-0314 for seating. The workshop costs $25 for materials. SCORE is a nonprofit group dedicated to cunseling small business. SCORE offers free one-on-one counseling call for an appt., Andrew M. Scibelli Enterprise Center, 1 Federal St. across from STCC.



BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Nominating Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Willie Ross School for the Deaf announces the election of two new members to the Board of Trustees, Martha H. Ryan and Donald R. Dupr. Ryan is a program supervisor of Secondary Teacher Preparation at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Dupr is a retired business executive. The Board of Trustees welcomes the two newest members to the Board.



NEW DIRECTOR

Keystone Woods announces the appointment of Delores Kestyn as their new director of Health & Wellness. Kestyn brings an abundance of experience in various health care roles with an emphasis in senior living to Keystone Woods. She has excelled in management, educational and supervisory positions for various top-notch patient care programs and we are pleased to bring her talents and experience to Keystone Woods. As director of Health Care Services for Reeds Landing in Springfield, she was responsible for supervising staffing and individual care for assisted living and long-term care residents.



SALES COURSE

The Center for Business and Technology at Springfield Technical Community College has announced that it will offer "Sandler's Professional Advantage: A Systematic Approach to Client Development" during the fall term. This workshop will focus on effective strategies that will allow service professionals to understand why customers buy, qualify prospects quickly, sell themselves and their ideas, develop a larger client base and conduct presentations that bring more business to their companies. FASHION DESIGN COURSE

The Center for Business and Technology at Springfield Technical Community College has announced that it will offer a Fashion Design course during the fall term. Participants will learn how the couture makes things happen from a fashion design professional, Blondell McNair of Blondell's Fashion Gallery located in the Andrew M. CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

Beginning in Sept., the Center for Business and Technology at Springfield Technical Community College will offer an Interior Design Certificate program that will allow participants the opportunity to learn decorating and design secrets from a professional, Interior Designer Janet Lyon, owner of Janet Lyon Interiors in West Springfield. Students may choose to take single courses or complete all six of the courses required for the Certificate in Interior Design.
