Chamber presents Fox at breakfast

Date: 11/14/2014

SPRINGFIELD – Entrepreneur, philanthropist and radio show personality Thom Fox’s life started out on an altogether different path.  He battled a variety of substances in his adolescence, struggled with depression, was challenged by learning disabilities and came face to face with homelessness. What happened next is nothing short of inspiring.

Fox will share his story of transformation in “How to Walk Through Hell with a Smile on Your Face” at the Affiliated Chambers of Commerce of Greater Springfield’s (ACCGS) December Business@Breakfast on Dec. 3 at 7:15 a.m. at The Log Cabin, 500 Easthampton Road, Holyoke.

Now Fox is referred to as an “outside the box thinker and incredible motivator whose passion for life is felt by all he comes in contact with.” Blending science and experience, Fox works with businesses and entrepreneurs to strategize, connect with resources, and launch ideas.

He is a passionate business advisor, award-winning philanthropist, and host of The Engine: Entrepreneur Radio and The Engine: Sunday Edition airing on Clear Channel (WHYN NewsTalk 560, WHYN Mix 93.1 and WRNX KIX 100.9).

On a personal level, Fox believes it takes a community to build an economy. He’s always happy to introduce good people to explore mutually beneficial opportunities, council young entrepreneurs, and give back to society.  Currently, Fox serves on the board of directors of Junior Achievement of Western Massachusetts and is its former chair, and serves as a facilitator and mentor for Valley Venture Mentors. Acknowledged as an expert resource, Fox has been interviewed by Forbes, U.S. News & World Report, Consumers Digest, The Huffington Post, Reuters, Fox Business, and SmartMoney.com.

The breakfast will also honor Inspired Marketing on its move into Springfield, Maplegate Rehab on its 15th anniversary and N.E.P.M.-New England Promotional Marketing on its 25 years in business.
