Deliso Financial celebrates 20 years of service and growth

AGAWAM – The financial services industry is traditionally known to be led by men. According to a study released in 2014 by the Center for American Progress, “In the financial services industry, they [women] make up 54.2 percent of the labor force, but are only 12.4 percent of executive officers, and 18.3 percent of board directors.”

During March, which is Women’s History Month, Deliso is proud to have broken through that barrier.

As president and founder of Deliso Financial and Insurance Services, Jean Deliso is proud to not only be a leader in the industry celebrating twenty years in her own practice, but to be experiencing wonderful growth. Recently the practice expanded their office space to accommodate their growing client list.

They did not move far, rather relocating in the same building as their previous office at 540 Meadow Street in Agawam, now with three times the square footage and some unique features you may not expect in a financial office.

For example, in the new Deliso Financial and Insurance Services office they have a family room.

“Many of our clients are working parents,” Deliso said. “Taking time out of their work day can be difficult, but financial security is crucial for their children so we are trying to make the steps to financial wellness as easy as possible.  Our clients with children can bring them along for a meeting and the kids can be entertained in the Family Room with everything from games, books, and movies; while their parents plan a bright financial future”.

Deliso has two young boys and as a working mother herself, she has found it extremely important to balance work and family life, and is hopeful she can help her clients do the same.

Deliso Financial and Insurance Services provides comprehensive financial planning, including cash and risk management, and investment; retirement and estate planning strategies. In addition, she works with many high net worth individuals, providing comprehensive retirement and estate planning; as well as business owners who turn to her for strategic planning such as succession plans to providing solutions for company sponsored benefit plans. An area of specific interest to Deliso is financial planning for women.  She strives to make sure women of all ages and backgrounds have the opportunity to understand their finances and works with them to create a comprehensive plan.

An active member of the community, Deliso is Chairman of the board of the Community Music School of Springfield, an active board member of both the AAA of Pioneer Valley and The Baystate Health Foundation, and past Chairman of the board of directors for the YMCA of Greater Springfield.
