Finn elected

At the recent semi-annual conference of Toastmasters International, District 53, in East Hartford, Connecticut, Michael Finn of Springfield was elected Division Governor of Division E for the fiscal year beginning on July 1. Division E encompasses all of western Massachusetts in three areas and includes 14 clubs located in Northampton, Chicopee, Springfield, Lenox, Great Barrington, Pittsfield, Williamstown, and Enfield, Connecticut.

Prior to his new position, Finn served as president of Pioneer Valley Toastmasters and Speakeasy Toastmasters, as well as Area E-2 Governor. He is employed with the United States Postal Service in South Hadley, and resides with his wife June in Springfield. His Toastmaster education credentials consist of Advance Communicator, Gold, and Competent Leader designations.

The mission of Toastmasters International is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment through its clubs, in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth. Toastmasters clubs are organized as both open community clubs, and as chartered organization (business) clubs.
