GREATER SPRINGFIELD — After 33 years in business, 13 of them at its current location on Memorial Drive in Chicopee, Furnari Jewelers opened a new store in the Enfield Square Mall on May 1. The new store is located between Macy's and Victoria's Secret in the mall, 90 Elm St., Enfield, Conn., and is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

From its beginnings in the Hampshire Mall, Furnari Jewelers has earned a reputation for offering high-quality, certified diamonds, precious gems, and fine jewelry at fair prices. Furnari Jewelers has long been respected for the honest value it provides to its loyal customers, respect that has helped it remain successful even in difficult economic times.

The Chicopee store will remain under the leadership of President Anthony J. Furnari; the new Enfield location will be run by his son, Joey Furnari. A graduate of Kenyon College, Joey also attended the American School of Jewelry in Sunrise, Fla., where he became a Certified Bench Jeweler. In addition to selling GIA-, AGS-, and EGL-certified gems, Furnari will offer repairs on the spot at the Enfield location.

"I had the most comprehensive training possible, but when it comes to customer service, the best teacher has been my father," Joey Furnari said. "He's why people keep coming back to the Chicopee store. Now I have an opportunity to show residents in Western Massachusetts and Connecticut the difference our family can make in their shopping experience."
