Gold Trader supports East Longmeadow band

EAST LONGMEADOW — Direct from TV to the streets of East Longmeadow, Gold Trader’s heel clicking Prospector joined the festivities in this year’s East Longmeadow Fourth of July parade.

Along with him on the parade route, Gold Trader representatives distributed special flyers promoting a charitable opportunity benefiting the East Longmeadow High School band program.

“At Gold Trader, we’re proud of our fund-raising programs, efforts that have successfully raised money for Baystate Children’s Hospital, the Springfield Jewish Community Center, the Boy Scouts, and more,” Steven Weber, operations manager for Gold Trader, said. “People love the Prospector and being a part of the parade was a natural fit for us. But we’re thrilled to also be working in conjunction with the East Longmeadow High School band. The flyers that we [handed] out at the parade are good throughout the month of July.”

If a Gold Trader customer presents that flyer at the time of their sale, Gold Trader will donate an additional 10 percent of their sale to the high school’s band program.

“It’s a win-win. Our customers get top dollar for their gold, silver and platinum jewelry and coins, the same amount they would normally receive from Gold Trader, and the Band program automatically benefits,” Weber said.

Gold Trader is located at 1360 Allen St., Springfield, and is the only area business dedicated 100 percent to the buying of precious metals.
