'Ideas for Living Fall Home Show' offers something for everyone

The Home Builders Association of Western Massachusetts announced that it will be hosting the "Ideas for Living Fall Home Show" Nov. 7 through 9 at the Better Living Center at the Eastern States Exposition grounds. This show is designed to encompass a wide array of products and services for the home and for ultimate living including building, remodeling, interior decorating, cooking, recycling, solar energy, energy efficiency, healthy living, green building, decorating and much more.
The association announced that it has a special celebrity lineup for the show. On Saturday and Sunday, the show will feature Taniya Nayak from HGTV's "Designed to Sell" to share her creative talent and bubbly personality with show goers. Her appearances are being sponsored by Shield Enclosures. For music lovers, country music star Ashley Gearing will be on hand on Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to sing, so be sure to plan to visit the show and see her.
"Ideas for Living Home Show" will include two stage areas and incorporate a wide variety of other seminars and demonstrations to educate the general public. Some of the topics include green building, home staging, energy conservation and creative cooking. There will even be beer sampling courtesy of Williams Distributing, Red Hook Brewery and MassLive.com. Nancy Dell will be on hand Saturday morning offering helpful nutritional tips as well.
If you are looking to build or remodel, or just trying to gather information for a future project, be sure to stop by the center of the show at the Home Builders Association of Western Massachusetts. The association will also have an informational booth at the show to educate consumers about how to make informed decisions about their upcoming building/remodeling projects and they will offer information about "green building." Members of the association will be on hand to answer your questions and distribute free literature on an array of building concerns. There will also be books available for purchase from the National Association of Home Builders.
For those who love great food, you will not want to miss visiting the Home Show Kitchen to see an array of exciting cooking shows. The stage will be filled with the delectable aroma of tantalizing dishes created by professional chefs from restaurants all over the Pioneer Valley. There will also be two children's cooking shows taking place on the weekend.
Speaking of fun, be sure to bring the kids to enjoy the family area which will include the West Springfield Police Department, the Shriners, Mad Science doing experiments, a children's art gallery and much more. For the racing buffs, be sure to bring your children and get the autograph of F.T. Schook Motor Sports' four time national champion driver Matt Fenn who will be at booth six and seven on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
The show will offer many opportunities to win great prizes. With high rocketing utility costs, consumes are looking for ways to make their homes more energy efficient and save money in the process. The "Ideas for Living Home Show" is the place to find these answers. Along with a host of vendors showcasing the latest in energy saving products and services, there will be several exciting giveaways. Our association will also have a fabulous "Energy Contest" where one lucky winner will receive $3,000 to make energy efficient improvements to their home, purchase green/solar products or even pay their upcoming utility bills.
