Knapik signs on as new ECS training and facilities director

AGAWAM — Environmental Compliance Services Inc. (ECS) recently announced that Joseph J. Knapik has joined its corporate office in Agawam as director of Training and Facilities Services.

Knapik is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) with more than 25 years of experience in industrial hygiene, safety and manufacturing management. In his capacity as director of training and facilities services with ECS, he will play a key role in developing the firm’s Underground Storage Tank (UST) Operator Training program. There are an estimated 380,000 regulated UST facilities in the United States and it is anticipated that hundreds of thousands of personnel employed at these facilities will require this training before the August deadline.

Knapik will also be spearheading additional ECS product launches, primarily in the training field. He will further develop and expand the firm’s suite of health and safety training course offerings, and will direct the implementation of educational, informational, and service products for the regulated business community.

Knapik holds a bachelor of science degree in environmental science. He resides in Holyoke.
