Longmeadow's Marantz promoted

LONGMEADOW -- Longmeadow resident Steven Marantz has been promoted to assistant vice president/financial advisor at Rockville Bank in Conn. The announcement was made at the annual meeting by William J. McGurk, Rockville Bank president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Marantz joined Rockville Bank in 2008 as a financial advisor and has been in the financial services industry for 28 years 19 years in brokerage houses and nine years in banks. He has a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and a masters degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Marantz lives with his wife, Michele, in Longmeadow, where he served on the town's Finance Committee for seven years, and was its chair from 2004 to 2007.
