Meyers Brothers Kalicka P.C. hires new associates

SPRINGFIELD – Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. (MBK) announced the hiring of Christopher D. Marini and Theresa M. Glod as associates.

In their new positions, Marini and Glod work closely with clients in the Accounting and Auditing Department of the firm.

Before coming to MBK, Marini worked for two years at Pignatare and Saga, LLC, Certified Public Accountants. Glod’s previous experience includes a stint at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City.

“Christopher and Theresa each display a strong work ethic and commitment to customer service,” Howard L. Cheney, MBK partner and director of Auditing and Accounting, said. “Christopher’s academic achievements and Theresa’s experience at a larger firm are both strong assets.”

Marini takes a personalized approach to customer service, applying his knowledge in a way that puts clients at ease. Glod takes a similar approach, channeling her passion and experience to effectively help clients achieve their goals.

Marini earned a BBA from the University of Massachusetts Isenberg School and Commonwealth Honors College. He is currently pursuing his MSA at the University of Connecticut. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs. He is a musician in his spare time.

Glod is currently sitting for her CPA exam and is active in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampden County.

MBK would like to announce the hiring of Thomas P. Dowling, CPA, MST, in the position of senior associate.

Dowling is responsible for guiding staff-level accountants in their duties and helping to manage the day-to-day operations of engagements.

Before coming to MBK, Dowling worked in various capacities at small-to-mid-size CPA firms for four years.

“Thomas provides exceptional customer service and works closely with clients to help them achieve their goals,” Cheney said. “He’s a great addition to the firm.”

For Dowling, customer service is a key priority. His approach to service involves a taking genuine interest in his clients and their businesses and applying a hands-on approach to addressing their issues and concerns.

Dowling graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor in Accountancy degree from Bentley University and continued at Bentley to earn his Master’s in Taxation, graduating with high distinction. He is a member of AICPA, MSCPA and the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society.

Outside of the office, Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife Amy and son Carter.
