Mitchell to speak at Springfield Rotary Aug. 15

SPRINGFIELD Oliver C. Mitchell Jr., Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Carpenter Technology Corporation of Reading, Pa., will address the Springfield Rotary Club's luncheon meeting on Aug. 15. Mitchell's topic will be "I was just thinking..."

Carpenter Technology Corporation is a NYSE-listed corporation that manufactures and sells specialty metals and engineered products.

Mitchell was born and raised in Springfield and is a graduate of Cathedral High School. He was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts. He served as First Assistant District Attorney for Hampden County and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.

The Springfield Rotary Club meets every Friday at 12:15 p.m. in the Mass Mutual Room at the Basketball Hall of Fame, West Columbus Avenue, Springfield, and is a proud member of Rotary International. The Rotary luncheon, with guest speaker Mitchell, is $17 per person and is open to the public.
