Monson Savings Bank promotes Cartier to Assistant Vice President

MONSON – Monson Savings Bank recently announced the promotion of Karen M. Cartier to assistant vice president, Collections and fraud officer.

Cartier, who joined Monson Savings in 2001, has served the banking industry for more than 20 years. She started her career with the bank as a part-time collector. Her position has expanded significantly over time as she has taken on increased responsibilities including the fraud department of Monson Savings Bank. She was promoted to collections & fraud officer in 2006.

Cartier currently serves as the president of the Security Loss Prevention Association of Massachusetts (SLPA) and is a River East School to Career Student Mentor. She has also served on The March of Dimes board of directors, been the chair/co-chair of the Chef’s Signature Auction for the March of Dimes for several years, and is the co-founder of “Forever in Our Hearts Charity Fund” to benefit Shriner’s Hospital.

Cartier is also the co-founder of “Cans for Kids,” providing “Kid Friendly” food collections to local soup kitchens, and she is a professional clown and face painter volunteering her time for local charitable events.

She resides with her family in Chicopee.
