New business offers new form of protection

Date: 11/10/2008

EAST LONGMEADOW Local entrepreneurs Paul and Diana Koetsch and Michael Rubin have joined with Dave Renfrew of Shrewsbury, Mass., founder of Protection Plus, to open its second location serving the Western Massachusetts area. Renfrew has been providing paint protection film for over seven years in the eastern part of the state.

Vehicle Paint Protection film is a high grade clear urethane film (sometimes referred to as a "clear bra"). When applied to the high impact areas of a car, truck, motorcycle or RV, the film takes the brunt of damage done by rocks, sand, salt, bugs and road debris.

"We have a long history here in East Longmeadow," Paul said, "starting with our time together at Irving Auto Parts, Mike's father's store where it was always fun to go and get your auto parts! Our new venture is also a family affair with Jon and Kim Westhall, Jon and Kris Gaouette and William Koetsch making up the balance of the Protection Plus team and we are excited about that!"

It today's economy, everyone should want to protect their investment in and preserve the resale value of their vehicles. Paint protection film is one of the most effective ways to do so.

Protection Plus will be hosting an open house/grand opening event on Nov. 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. at their location at 171 Shaker Rd., behind Dick's Convenience Store.

Register to win gifts, have some refreshments, see the process demonstrated and meet the crew. They look forward to meeting you at the open house.
