Hyland is new station manager of WVEI 105.5 FM in Springfield

BOSTON Entercom Boston announced recently the addition of Jerry Hyland as the Station Manager of WVEI 105.5 FM in Springfield. As Station Manager, Hyland will manage the day-to-day operations of the brand new station overseeing promotions, sales and business operations. The station will soon simulcast the legendary WEEI AM 850, Sports Radio Boston.

Hyland brings over a decade of experience in the radio industry to his new role at WVEI. Previously he was the Vice President & Market Manager of Clear Channel Communications in Springfield for three stations (WPKX, WHYN and WNNZ). His radio experience also includes posts as Vice President & Market Manager of Capstar & AM/FM Broadcasting and General Manager of SFX Broadcasting in Springfield. Hyland also served as an Account Executive at WWLP-TV/Springfield and Springfield Advertising Company.

Hyland lives in East Longmeadow with his wife and four daughters.

WEEI entered the Springfield market last February when it acquired the radio station WBEC, 105.5 FM. WVEI will simulcast WEEI AM 850, Sports Radio Boston with some additional syndicated programming and play by play.
