Date: 12/13/2011

GREATER SPRINGFIELD — Ninety Nine Restaurants announced on Nov. 30 that they raised $202,000 for local chapters of the Boys & Girls Club in communities throughout New England and New York during the company’s Boys & Girls Club Fundraising Month in October.

Specifically, the East Longmeadow and Springfield Ninety Nine Restaurants raised $2,117 for the Springfield Boys & Girls Club.

Through the enormous generosity of Ninety Nine Restaurants’ guests and team members, funds were raised for local chapters of the Boys & Girls Club during the month of October through the following ways:
  • Every time a specially created limited time only “Boys & Girls Club Sandwich” was ordered, $1 was donated;

  • $1 from the sales of each special Halloween entrée featured during the Halloween weekend promotion; and;

  • $5 for commemorative bracelet sales;

  • $1 or more addition to the total guest check.
“October is a special month for us at the Ninety Nine. We are passionate about our relationship with the Boys & Girls Club as we enter into our 15th year of service to the organization and look forward to continuing that relationship for years to come,” Ninety Nine Restaurants President John Grady said. “We are involved with almost 70 local chapters of the Boys & Girls Clubs and are very proud to have set a new company-wide fund-raising record this year for a cause so important to many of our loyal guests and dedicated team members. We sincerely thank everyone who generously donated.”

Each Ninety Nine Restaurant has a relationship at the local level with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the oldest and largest organization that has a primary mission of service to youth, and the public school system in the community.

“We are thrilled that the money we raised is going to the Boys & Girls Clubs where they encourage positive youth development and accommodate thousands of youths daily,” Grady said.
