Petris named new assistant to Hampden Bank president

SPRINGFIELD – Kathy L. Petris has been named executive assistant to Glenn S. Welch, president and COO at Hampden Bank.

In her new position, Petris will be responsible for senior level administrative support, report and document preparation and workflow management.

According to Welch, "Kathy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position. When you combine her organizational and analytical skills, and dedication to the community, you can see why we're delighted to have her on board. She is a perfect fit for our organization."

Formerly of Sovereign Bank in Springfield, Petris brings more than 20 years of experience to Hampden Bank.

While at Sovereign, Petris was the Commercial Loan Administration supervisor and Senior Relationship administrator.

Prior to that, she was the Senior Administrative assistant in the Business Banking group at BankBoston in Springfield and Loan administrator in BayBank's Commercial Real Estate, Workout, Asset Management and Business Development groups.

Through volunteer efforts, Petris has been affiliated with the Junior Achievement Educating Youth program, American Red Cross-Westfield Chapter and the New England Sled Hockey program at Amelia Park Arena.

She also contributes in a volunteer capacity with the United Way Day of Caring and is currently a United Way Annual Campaign coordinator.
