SPRINGFIELD – Pride Stores, Springfield, and their customers have donated $6,300 to sponsor four local students from the Clarke School for Hearing and Speech, on a transformative trip to Peru with the organization No Barriers Youth.
As part of this program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, the four students will meet their peers from across the U.S. to participate in service projects and cross-cultural exchange activities with Peruvian deaf students. During their travels the students will also be challenged to examine their leadership strengths and weaknesses, and to craft their own personal vision for living a No Barriers Life.
Through Pride and the generosity of Pride customers these students from Western Massachusetts will be able to participate in this once in a lifetime program.
