Rebuilding from Square One

Date: 10/24/2011

Square One, an early education and care organization in Springfield, was the recipient of a $25,000 tornado donation by PeoplesBank to help improve their King Street facilities. The nonprofit organization’s offices and education center in the South End of Springfield were destroyed by the June 1 tornado and the children had to be relocated to the King Street center.

The bank also donated $25,000 to The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts’ tornado relief fund that helped Square One replace a van that was destroyed in the same storm.
