"Shredding" the word

Date: 11/28/2012

Hampden Bank recently conducted a Shred Day at its Indian Orchard office to help benefit the Community Survival Center (CSC) and spread the word about identity theft. For a small monetary donation or a donation of non-perishable food items, the public was invited to bring their personal papers to the branch to be shredded for a great cause. Bank and CSC volunteers collected more than 130 pounds of food plus cash donations to help fill the shelves of the non-profit organization.
