Spoleto switching focus, name

Date: 8/21/2013

EAST LONGMEADOW – Spoleto in East Longmeadow is changing concept by slightly altering its name in addition to some small interior changes. Ownership has changed as well. The name will become: Viva Spoleto Brick Oven Pizza & Pasta.

Interior changes will include a new brick oven that will be seen from the dining area, new banquets for more comfortable dining, and they will be serving a new menu for lunch and dinner as well. The establishment will also start delivery for the first time since they’ve been open.

As for the ownership change, Claudio Guerra, owner of Spoleto Restaurant Group, brought in Bill Collins, long time chief operating officer, as his partner.

Guerra said, “I really felt like our location in East Longmeadow needed an owner operator. Bill is the right guy to be the face of the restaurant there.”

Collins said, “I am excited to take this as an opportunity to really put down some roots in East Longmeadow and bring some excitement to Center Square.”

Collins has a long resume of experience in the hospitality industry from hotels and chain restaurants to fine dining and casual restaurants, he has done it all. He was also voted in to the Business West “40 under 40” and has been involved in various boards. Collins is the founder of the nonprofit Northampton Jazz Festival.

The changes at Center Square should be expected over the next few months.
