Springfield Library 'means business!'

SPRINGFIELD The Springfield City Library means business! If you are looking for expert advice on going into business for yourself, you'll need to know how to research the market, analyze trends, get funding and much more. Learn how in a series of free workshops offered at the Central Library, 220 State St. The workshop presenters include representatives from the library, the Small Business Administration, SCORE, the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Anna Brandenburg, Adult Program Coordinator, said, "Last year's series on small business was booked solid. Ready, Set, Grow!: Learn about SBA services available to you as a prospective or current entrepreneur seeking assistance in starting or expanding a business. April 2, 6 p.m., in the Community Room.

Research Tools for Small Business Planning: Do you need to research your market, analyze trends or look at company and industry news? Entrepreneurs and small business owners will learn about the print and electronic resources available at local libraries. April 9, 6 p.m., in the Computer Lab.

Finance Your Dreams!: At this workshop, you will learn about the many resources that are available to help you find the financing you need, and put it to work effectively. April 16, 6 p.m., in the Community Room.

Quickbooks Quick-Start: This webinar will provide an introduction to the #1 selling software for small business accounting. Amy Grabowski of Fiscal Training Solutions will help get you on your way to an effective and efficient bookkeeping system. April 23, 5:30 p.m., in the Computer Lab.
