SPRINGFIELD -- The Center for Business and Technology at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) has a program that makes it easy for teachers to take high-quality, noncredit online courses.

STCC has partnered with ed2go to offer hundreds of online, instructor-facilitated courses, many of which are designed specifically for teaching professionals.

These new professional development courses offer teachers the opportunity to learn key ingredients dedicated to the country's recipe for educational success on their schedule, 24/7.

Over 50 courses are available for teachers including: creating a classroom Web site, solving classroom discipline problems, integrating technology in the classroom, teaching adult learners, understanding adolescents, ready, set, read, teaching ESL, and many others. The college awards professional development points (PDPs) toward relicensure upon successful completion of each course.

New sessions of each course run every month. They last six weeks, with two new lessons being released weekly for a total of 12.

Interested individuals should go to www.ed2go.com/stcc/ or call CBT at 755-4225 or 755-4501 to enroll.
