STCC offers new career advancement classes

Date: 2/2/2009

In a recent study, 80 percent of corporations in such fields such as finance, insurance, and real estate said good writing skills are necessary for employment. More than half the businesses said over half their employees are expected to write reports, memos, and correspondence. This course will provide participants with the opportunity to brush up on what most businesses consider a key skill that is required in order to get hired or promoted. Participants will learn how to write effectively in every format from e-mail to major reports, techniques for overcoming writer's block, and will come away from this course with a more polished, confident writing style.

The Center for Business and Technology at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) is now accepting registrations for "Business Writing: The Essential Skill" beginning on Feb. 5.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Interested individuals should go to http://cbt.stcc.edu or call the Center for Business and Technology at 755-4225 or 755-4501 to enroll.
