STCC to offer 127-hour EMT training program

SPRINGFIELD — The Center for Business and Technology (CBT) at Springfield Technical Community College will again offer its very popular Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Training Program during the upcoming term.

The EMT program consists of approximately 127 hours of lectures, a field trip, and workshops designed to prepare the student to challenge the Massachusetts State Certification Examination.

The program is based on the Department of Transportation curriculum for Basic Emergency Medical Technician and is approved by the Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services.

The EMT program gives the student an excellent foundation in Basic Life Support skills and techniques; patient assessment; and safe, sane transportation.
