WEST SPRINGFIELD United Bank will host a free seminar for families of college-bound high school sophomores and juniors on Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Majestic Theater.

The event will focus on the college admissions and financing process, and on developing a strategy for choosing the best college for both the student and the family budget. The session will be led by Adam Metsch, director of the College Advisor of New England Inc., an educational and financial aid consulting service.

Metsch has personally visited and critiqued over 250 colleges and universities nationwide, and has successfully guided nearly 1,000 families through the complex college planning process. He is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling and the New England Association for College Admission Counseling, and a board member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association.

The seminar is open to the public, and light refreshments will be served. To register, call Serena Estrada at 788-3347.
