SPRINGFIELD – Attain Therapy + Fitness is excited to announce the hiring of Chanon Vallas, MS, OTR/L, CHT as Center Manager for Attain’s Hand and Upper Extremity Clinic at 300 Birnie Ave.
Chanon joins Attain after 10 years of experience in the outpatient setting working alongside extremely skilled hand therapists and hand surgeons. She specializes in the prevention, management and treatment of a variety of orthopedic, traumatic and chronic hand and elbow conditions.
She has advanced training in functional capacity evaluations and assessment for vocational related injuries and situations. She believes in a holistic approach to patient care and creating empowerment by collaborating with individuals to meet specific goals and achieve independence.
Channon earned her associate’s degree in applied science, occupational therapy from Maria College in Albany, NY. She went on to attend American International College in Springfield where she earned both her Bachelor and Masters of Science in occupational therapy. She holds an advanced certification in hand therapy from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission.
Channon joins an excellent team in Springfield consisting of highly trained and experienced hand therapists, rehabilitation aides and patient care representatives. Attain Therapy + Fitness is excited to announce to the Greater Springfield community, Channon’s addition to the management team and to its hand therapy staff.
