West promoted to manager of ticket sales

Date: 8/22/2012

SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Falcons, AHL affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced on Monday that Sean West has been promoted to manager of ticket sales effective immediately. West was initially hired by the Falcons as an account executive following the 2011-2012 season.

"It is imperative as a franchise going forward that we continue to build our ticket base, which includes our various season ticket packages, group sales, and walk-up sales," Falcons President and General Manager Bruce Landon said. "We are excited about having Sean manage our ticket sales department and help bring more fans to the MassMutual Center."

In his new role, West will oversee the Falcons' ticket department, working closely with team staff and the local community to increase both season and group ticket sales. West served from January of 2010 to April of 2012 as the director of new business development for the Connecticut Whale. With the Whale, West worked in the club's ticket sales department while also focusing his efforts on the "Whale Bowl," an outdoor hockey game in February of 2011 between the Whale and the Providence Bruins in East Hartford. He worked as an account executive for baseball's New Hampshire Fisher Cats (AA, Eastern League) in 2008 and in the game operations department for basketball's Manchester Millrats (ABA) in the 2007-2008 season.
