American Lung Association seeking volunteers for schools

WALTHAM The American Lung Association of Massachusetts (ALA) is looking to recruit local community members to help teach children about lung health. Students grade 3-8 are being targeted for the Healthy Choices, Healthy Lungs program, focusing on lung health, the respiratory system and the harmful effects of tobacco. Due to an overwhelming statewide demand from schools, the ALA needs volunteer help to reach all Massachusetts children.

A volunteer training will be conducted Sept. 27, 2007 at 393 Maple Street, Springfield. The training is free, and will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
