Free Mammograms

Springfield Partners for Community helping women who are over 40 to get free mammograms at Baystate Health

SPRINGFIELD Springfield Partners for Community Action can help women get a free mammogram. Any woman over 40 who is without health insurance should contact us right away at 263-6500 to make arrangements for a free mammogram at Baystate Health Systems.

We can also provide transportation and childcare, all free for eligible women. What's more, to help lessen the pain, a little anyway, we will give each woman a $25 gift certificate so she can go shopping after her mammogram.

In partnership with the American Cancer Society, Springfield Partners for Community Action hopes to promote mammograms as a tool in the early detection of breast cancer, and to ensure that every woman gets regular screenings.

Springfield Partners for Community Action is the official anti-poverty agency for the city of Springfield. The agency has several other programs including Weatherization Assistance, New Beginnings Childcare, Free Tax Preparation Assistance, and Community Food and Nutrition.
