Library hosts health talk

CHICOPEE The Chicopee Public Library will welcome Gina Welch, Licensed Massage Therapist, to give an afternoon talk on Feb. 28 that will educate people about using massage to enhance their bodies' innate ability to heal.

Think you have to live with back pain, neck pain, shoulder or leg pain?

Understand how muscles play a role in these conditions and how massage can assist the muscles to return to a healthy tone, alleviating symptoms. Eliminating the cause means removal of the pain and in many instances gets to the root of the problem altogether.

After attending this health talk you will have a better understanding of:

How muscles function

What happens to create so much pain or discomfort

And what you can do about it.

Welch is Upledger trained, as well as Kripalu certified. She recently opened the CranioSacral and Massage Center Inc. in Chicopee where she offers Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy and CranioSacral Therapy.
