OPTIFAST INFO PROGRAM The Comprehensive Weight Management Program at Mercy Medical Center, 233 Carew St. in Springfield is offering a free information session on the Optifast program on Aug. 22 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The one-hour class will provide a basic overview of Optifast program, including goals of the program, program, program components, expected weight loss, and how to get started. Philip T. Glynn, MD, Oncologist/Internal Medicine, and Kollegal Murthy, MD, Hemotalogist/Oncologist/Internal Medicine will discuss the disease and it's progression and prevention. They will also highlight some of the many new treatment options available to cancer patients. In recent years great strides have been made in the fight against lung cancer.
