MassDEP Retrofit Program

BOSTON State Rep. Angelo J. Puppolo Jr., D-Springfield, is pleased to announce grant applications are available through the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) to install pollution control devices on waste and recycling trucks owned by municipalities and private haulers.

Applications for the 2010 MassDEP Diesel Waste Collection Vehicle Retrofit Program are available online at www.mass.gov/dep/air/diesel/wcv.htm. Grant applications must be received by 5 p.m. on March 12.

Four workshops on the grants will be hosted by MassDEP in February. Information on the workshops and program is available at the aforementioned Web site.
