Red Cross announces February blood drives

GREATER SPRINGFIELD – The American Red Cross will host several community blood drives during the month of February.

All eligible and new blood donors are encouraged to give blood. Blood donors are needed every day to ensure an adequate blood supply for patients in need.

To make an appointment to donate blood, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or log onto redcrossblood.org.

The following is a list of blood drives within The Reminder’s circulation area:

• Feb. 1 – Wilbraham Fire Department, 2770 Boston Road, Wilbraham from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.;

• Feb. 3 – Mt. Holyoke College Mary Wooley Hall, 50 College St., South Hadley, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.;

• Feb. 4 – Solutia Gate House 1, 730 Worcester St., Indian Orchard, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.;

• Feb. 4 – Lambert-Lavoie Elementary, 99 Kendall St., Chicopee, from noon to 6 p.m.;

• Feb. 5 – Bay Path College, 588 Longmeadow St., Longmeadow, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.;

• Feb. 8 – Holyoke Mall at Ingleside, 50 Holyoke St., Holyoke, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.;

• Feb. 10 – Cornerstone Church, 15 Kibbe Road, East Longmeadow, from noon to 6 p.m.;

• Feb. 11 – Mass Mutual Center, 1227 Main St., Springfield from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.;

• Feb. 12 – Westfield State University’s Parenzo Gym on Western Avenue, Westfield, from 1 to 7 p.m.;

• Feb. 14 – Southwick Town Hall, 454 College Highway, Southwick, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.;

• Feb. 18 – St. John’s Lutheran Church, 60 Broad St., Westfield, from noon to 6 p.m.; Moose Family Center, 244 Fuller Road, Chicopee, from noon to 6 p.m.;

• Feb. 19 – Western New England University, 1215 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, from 1 to 7 p.m.;
