Red Cross Pioneer Valley Chapter offers First Aid/

At the American Red Cross Pioneer Valley Chapter, we count on certified instructors to further our mission of bringing lifesaving, safety, and caregiver education to a variety of individuals and groups in our member communities.

Our instructor training continues our tradition of quality. It's why so many people count on the American Red Cross for training that keeps them prepared.

Instructor training for Lay Rescuer First Aid, CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillation) is being offered to provide training and certification in the latest safety practices. The next class is scheduled for: May 14, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29 and June 2 and 4 from 6 to 10 p.m. Participation in all class sessions is mandatory. Classes meet at the Pioneer Valley Chapter at 506 Cottage St., Springfield.

Take advantage of the instructor training that is based on current research findings and the latest safety practices.

The cost of the full course is $150. The fee covers all training and includes participant's consolidated manual containing course information. Participants must be a minimum of 16 years of age and hold current certifications in first aid, CPR (for all ages) and AED. Students must attend all classes and will be required to pass a pre-course test, basic skills evaluation and a written exam to receive certification.
