Red Cross seeks blood donations in November

GREATER SPRINGFIELD – The American Red Cross will host several community blood drives during the month of November.

All eligible and new blood donors are encouraged to give blood. Blood donors are needed every day to ensure an adequate blood supply for patients in need. To make an appointment to donate blood, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or log onto redcrossblood.org.

The following is a list of blood drives within The Reminder’s circulation area:

• Nov. 1 – Rocky’s Ace Hardware, 2 Free St., Westfield, from noon to 5 p.m.; Dean Technical High School, 1045 Main St., Holyoke, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.;

• Nov. 2 – Mittineague Congregational Church, 1840 Westfield St., West Springfield, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wilbraham Fire Department, 2770 Boston Road, Wilbraham, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.;

• Nov. 4 – Western New England University, 1215 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, from 1 to 7 p.m.;

• Nov. 5 – Lifepoint Church, 603 New Ludlow Road, Chicopee, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.;

• Nov. 7 – Tower Square, 1500 Main St., Springfield, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.;

• Nov. 8 – Chicopee High School, 820 Front St., Chicopee, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.;

• Nov. 9 – South Hadley Fire Department, 20 Woodbridge St., South Hadley, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.;

• Nov. 12 – Southwick Town Hall, 454 College Highway, Southwick, from 1 to 6 p.m.;

• Nov. 13 – OMG, 153 Bowles Road, Agawam, from 1 to 6 p.m.; South Hadley Town Hall, 116 Main St., South Hadley, from noon to 6 p.m.;

• Nov. 16 – Goodwill Industries, 621 East Main St., Westfield, from 10 to 3 p.m.;

Springfield Blood Donation Center, 3500 Main St., Springfield, is open Monday through Wednesday from 1:15 to 6:15 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 7:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
